Well, serves me right. I know better then to do some REALLY deep cleaning. Just stick with the surface, Alison, really! I thought the microwave vent top was looking a little on the dusty side. I spray it down with Clorox spray, and go to the bathroom to get some Q-tips to make it look bran new again. Well, Thomas came up to make some lunch, threw some hot dogs in the microwave, pushed start...and BAM BAM BAM. Three loud Bam's accompanied by 3 huge sparks, and 6 loud screams (Kinley and I, one for each spark!) and he was down for the count! Thomas' arm was numb the whole day, night and next day. It was so scary for me, but Kinley has been telling people that her dad can make fireworks come out of his fingers...yah, what can YOUR dad do? LOL.

Holy cow! That is scary stuff. I'm glad everyone is okay, though. But hey, now we all know! Clorox spray in the vent = bad news. Got it. :)
Wow...I guess that is why i don't clean stuff, it is dangerous! I hope Thomas' arm isn't permanently microwaved!
So you got a new microwave out of the whole experience huh? Not that Thomas's arm going numb is good, and we hope he is OK. Did you get a good microwave at least? LOL! I was just thinking the other day that my microwave vents were looking bad..... now I know what NOT to do!

yeah, i guess i got a new microwave...it took 4 weeks though, and our other one was perfectly fine until I cleaned it...:)
I have just discovered your blog Allison. It's darling. Only something crazy like that would happen to Thomas. If you ask me, he probably did something to deserve it :).
Oh my gosh. What an amazing guy! Lucky he wasn't hurt worse. Yikes!
Now I won't feel so guilty about not cleaning the mike! hee hee
So glad that Thomas is okay! And thanks for giving me a reason to feel good about not cleaning. My house is getting scary, I'm so far behind! :)
