I really do think of myself as a patient mom, when it comes to little "friends". I try to let my kids have their little pets. We go on bug hunts and its very common to have "seasonal" visitors. For example, this summer, we had multiple jars of potato bugs, grasshoppers, ladybugs, praying mantis, and about 5 wolf spiders (thanks for that one Thomas).Anyway, here are a few snap shots of the pets that stick around..Pictured above is Kaden with his bearded dragon, Spike.
Kaden and Kinley holding Spike (the lizard) and slither. Slither is an albino corn snake. Kinley isn't even afraid of the snake.
Hailey got Hoppy (dumpy tree frog) for her birthday. It is so funny to watch Hoppy eat. He lunges at the cricket...and its GONE.
Kinley isn't afraid of the snake...but she is afraid of the frog. She would stand BY the frog, not touching the frog for this picture.
Then there is Rosco. He is my favorite. He is a Maltese we got from my brother Jason and his wife BreAnn. He is so small and so sweet.Not pictured are our cats that we have had since we got married. Thinking that should be enough? Our kids each have their own pet..plus!?!?
Introducing: ZOEY
we got zoey this week. She is a Shih Tzu mix. I would like to blame it on Thomas or one of the kids, but truth be told, I wanted her. She is 3 months old.
So, as I can see it...I don't need to go to the zoo anymore!!

geez!! you are so patient, your kids are so lucky. Peyton would LOVE to have a dog!
I can't think of a funny comment. Must mean I need to go to bed. LOL She's cute. I'll have to bring my kids for a trip to the "zoo" to see the latest addition.
