FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!

Wahooo!! The day finally came! I have to admit, when I saw the school district on my caller id on Wednesday night, I freaked out a bit. I was afraid they were going to say "SIKE" (yes, I dated myself there...) and tell me school wasn't starting again. Thomas answered the phone and I couldn't read his face on if it was bad news (see, I cant read Thomas' face either!) I started to get tears in my eyes. Now, don't get me wrong, I LOVE my kids....but we have been off track since May, and well, I love them so much they should go to school...we will leave it at that!
Hailey is in the third grade, and Kaden is in first. They both have loved going to school! I had to chuckle at Hailey's "wavy" hair and her leggings. When she left I told Thomas that could have been me in the 3rd grade. Crimped hair and leggings. She pulls it off better then I ever could though....ahhh stirrup pants and sweater shirts...gotta love the styles!
Question: what item(s) of clothing do you wish came back??

That's one long summer break! I hope the kids had fun, that doesn't happen too often. Hailey does look cute in the 80s clothes. At least the giant hair didn't come back! I've always been a fan of 70s fashion, I was born a decade to late!

Isn't school a wonderful thing? I remember hating it at times when I was in school, but now I know why my mom LOVED it. LOL!!!

I'm as happy as you to have the kids back in school. And how fun it is that Hailey and Connor are in the same class again. I'm hoping we don't have the crazy homework like last year. And the first day of school picture is darling!!! About the clothes.....I was hoping that leg warmers would never come back, but, guess what? Saw them at the mall today.

SO, I finally found you! Very cute pictures! Kinley is a crack up I have been going into her primary class the last couple of weeks and she is hilarious! (I wonder where she gets her attitude from!)

They look adorable! Good job getting them ready!

I really miss peasant shirts. I love the way an empire waist hides my surgured abs.

But they haven't been gone that long so I still wear them actually. I've been a mom long enough now that no one expects me to keep up with fashion anyway. :)
